Privacy Policy
Applied Software Group LLC ("we", "us") runs the website appliedsoftwaregroupllc.com. This policy says what information the website collects from a visitor, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what choices a visitor has. It applies to this website alone; our products AIChatPlacement and Arredo Search have policies of their own on their sites.
What we collect, and why
The contact form
When you send a message through the Contact page, we receive what you type: your first and last name, your e-mail address, your company if you give it, the service you are asking about, and your description of what you want to build or solve. We use it to answer you and to understand your request. It is stored in our Azure storage account in the United States and read only by the people of Applied Software Group LLC who answer enquiries.
The AI assistant
The AI Assistant page and the chat bubble on every page let you ask questions about our company and services. Each conversation is logged: the questions you type, the answers given, the time, an identifier of the browser session, and the public internet address of your connection, which the page reads through a public address service. We keep these logs to see what visitors ask, to correct wrong answers and to measure the cost of the service. The answers are produced by an AI model run by Anthropic, which receives the text of your question and nothing that identifies you. Do not type passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into the assistant.
Usage and performance data
The website records technical data about each request through Microsoft Azure Application Insights: the pages requested, the time taken, errors, the browser type and an anonymised form of the connection address. We use it to keep the site running and to find faults. The website sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising network.
What we do not collect
The website has no accounts, no sign-in and no payments. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes the data for us
Microsoft Azure hosts the website, stores the contact messages and the conversation logs, and records the usage data, in data centres in the United States. Anthropic processes the text of the assistant's conversations to produce the answers. LinkedIn receives nothing from this website unless you follow the link to our page there.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer and follow up your enquiry, and no longer than two years. Conversation logs and usage data are kept for one year. We delete a record earlier when you ask us to.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or to delete it, by writing to the e-mail address on the Contact page. We answer within thirty days. If you are a California resident, these are also your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not sell or share personal information as that act defines it.
Children
The website is meant for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with the date of its last update. Continued use of the website after a change means acceptance of the new version.
